Yer draft... yer maker

Well the Broncos went defense on their first pick in the draft... I have no problem with that, what I have a problem with is they seem to go stronger on defense and then wonder why they struggle to score points on offense.... I had this issue come up this past season on FB on a fan site of the team when someone said why are we struggling on offense, check out how much we are spending on defense versus the other side of the ball.. I hope Case is not only the QB of this season, but of the future, for at least seven years, if not we have Lynch and Kelley and neither have any winning experience... Case might only be a bandaid QB, he might be good and he might be just ok, in that case we ttraded our true starter away... There are so many questions going into this season.. From the top, coach Vance Joseph starts the season on the hot seat although Elway likely won't say so, this coach and his entire staff better know building is priority number one, start strong because the team has never been known to make a late season surge to make a playoff run.. Quarterback, and the competition is closed in my view, we have Case Keenum, the starter, the competition is for backup and clipboard holder.. We didn't get Case to be the favored to be the starter, he IS the starter.. No ifs ands or anything else.. you either have him be the starter going in or be prepared to be dissapointed from the start.. You use the preseason to get the starter ready to play and use the rest of the time to look at potential trades for a messed up situation with Lynch and or Kelley.. How did I feel watching the QB's go before and after the pick?? I like Josh Allen but as a project, and Denver isn't the place for that project.. Like I said if Case can't play in Denver he won't learn the position in Denver, they have no QB coach there.. Offensive line.. We need a good young starter to start anchoring the O line, or two, either drafting one and then getting another after the draft in undrafted talent there will be something there COUNT ON IT.. Running back, definitely need a running back even though this league has been a passing league, you need a hundred yard toter and we don't have one and barely had a thousand yard rusher last year, he is gone now.. We have squandered runners in the past two years, time to revamp the running game, otherwise this year will be as bad as last year... Anything else???



I do like what Denver got in the first pick.. The fear ran rampant as everyone heard Elway state that this pick was up for sale if he could get what he wanted for it.. As they went to commercial break they said Chubb could be on hi way to Denver to play with Von Miller.. I thought also a QB in one of the Josh's could be there... Fingers crossed I think he got the player they need but as I said you gotta watch how much you put on this or that side of the ball... Hopefully he can come right in and help on a defense that struggled a little this pas season...
